Faith & Wisdom Book Discussion Group
“Life is difficult. Don’t walk alone. Find a friend to walk with.” Pope Francis
“Searching for Wisdom With Friends” meets in six-week segments on Thursday evenings. The emphasis is on group discussion and fellowship.
Winter 2023
February 2 - March 9, 2023 (Zoom)
Please join us for our winter session, February 2 – March 9! Our group will be reading Deeper Than Words: Living the Apostles’ Creed by Br. David Steindl-Rast, OSB. In this book, Br. David takes each phrase of the Creed as it articulates the faith of Jesus’ early followers. In each chapter, Br. David examines the original meaning behind the phrase as well as providing thoughtful questions and reflections on how each phrase brings us to a greater awareness of God’s enduring and abundant love.
The fall session will start on Thursday, February 2 and conclude on March 9. We meet on Zoom (no in person meetings) from 7:00-8:30pm on Thursday nights while the book group is in session.
Please contact Anna Wallich for more information if you are interested in participating! awallich@saintlukemclean.org or 603-714-5625.
Anna Wallich is a member of the Saint Luke Parish community who has studied theology at the Yale Divinity School and Boston College School of Theology and Ministry. She enjoys leading Bible studies as well as faith groups and is looking forward to beginning with this group!
Due to the format of this group, space is limited.
