     As part of a vision for comprehensive youth ministry, we are excited to support sports within our parish life. Sports naturally create opportunities for conversations and growth in faith and virtue. St. Luke Youth Ministry is committed to helping our coaches, players, and parents anchor practices and competition in our shared faith.

CYO Program
     ​St. Luke has a vibrant CYO Sports Program with almost 200 young people in 3-8th grade participating in basketball, cross country, track & field, and volleyball. ​Participation is open to all young people in the parish, who are enrolled at St. Luke School or in the Parish Religious Education program.  Our parish teams participate in diocesan leagues and therefore operates in accordance with parish and diocesan policy. For more information please contact Benj Emrich - Director of Youth Ministry at [email protected].
CYO Parish Registration
     In order for us to do CYO at St. Luke. we need adults who are willing to volunteer as coaches!  Coaching is a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the youth of our parish while also enjoying the fun of sports.  If you are interested in volunteering or would like to learn more, please reach out to us at [email protected]!

Basketball
     Basketball is open for youth grades 3rd to 8th who are enrolled at St. Luke School or in the Parish Religious Education program.​  Weekly practice times are currently TBD, these will vary depending on the availability of coaches for each team.  Games typically start early December and continue through mid March.  We are in need of adult coaches who are OPCYP/VIRTUS compliant - please reach out to us at [email protected] if you are interested!  In order for us to offer a team for any particular grade we must meet the criteria of at least 8 registered players and 2 adult coaches.
*You must complete 2 forms of registration to participate - a Parish Registration linked above, and then a SportsPilot registration linked below.
Timeline:

First week of Nov. - Practices Begin
Dec. 6 - First weekend of games
​Games are played on weekends from Dec. to Mar.

Cross Country
     Cross Country is open for youth grades 3rd to 8th who are enrolled at St. Luke School or in the Parish Religious Education program.​  Weekly practice times currently TBD.  There will be 2 developmental meets and one championship meet - see below for dates.  We are in need of adult coaches who are OPCYP/VIRTUS compliant - please reach out to us at [email protected] if you are interested!

Track & Field
     Track & Field is open for youth grades 3rd to 8th who are enrolled at St. Luke School or in the Parish Religious Education program.​  Weekly practices TBD outside of the school main entrance.  There will be a final championship meet on Nov. 1 - more info to come at a later date.  We are in need of adult coaches who are OPCYP/VIRTUS compliant - please reach out to us at [email protected] if you are interested!

Girls Volleyball
     Girls Volleyball is open for youth grades 3rd to 8th who are enrolled at St. Luke School or in the Parish Religious Education program.​  Weekly practice times are currently TBD, these will vary depending on the availability of coaches for each team.  Games typically begin in April and go to early June.  ​We are in need of adult coaches who are OPCYP/VIRTUS compliant - please reach out to us at [email protected] if you are interested!
