Music At Saint Luke Catholic Church
The Second Vatican Council proclaimed that 'liturgical worship is given a more noble form when it is celebrated in song.' The Council called Catholics to "full, conscious, and active participation" at Mass. At Saint Luke, we follow the Council's directive: our parish prays and sings!
There are lots of ways to become involved in music at the parish. Parishioners may choose to join one of the four church choirs, which actively participate in worship services and additional concerts throughout the year.
Additionally, Saint Luke has hosted the Music in McLean concert series every year for more than 20 years. This series features the Washington, D.C. area's finest musicians and has included appearances by the Amadeus Orchestra, Saint Luke Festival Choir, Washington Symphonic Brass, National Men's Chorus, the City Choir of Washington, and the Washington Master Chorale.
