Music for Funerals
A participation aid (Worship leaflet or worship program) will be prepared by the church. If you would like to personalize this with photos and other information, please contact Dan Catalanotto.
In addition to music for the Responsorial Psalm, the Gospel Acclamation, the Eucharistic Acclamations, the Lamb of God, and the Commendation, families may choose one or more hymns for the following:
Alleluia! Sing to Jesus
Amazing Grace
Be Not Afraid
Christ the Lord Is Risen Today
Eat This Bread
Eye Has Not Seen
I Am the Bread of Life
I Want to Walk as a Child of the Light
Jesus Christ Is Risen Today
Lord of All Hopefulness
Lord of the Dance
O God, Our Help in Ages Past
On Eagle’s Wings
Sing with All the Saints in Glory
Take and Eat
The Strife Is O'er
We Shall rise Again
Ye Watchers and Ye Holy One
Solo Suggestions
Ave Maria by Franz Schubert
(This would usually be done at the Preparation of the Gifts, or as a prelude.)
Panis Angelicus by Cesar Franck
(This is normally done during Communion.)
Please consult with the Director of Music, Dan Catalanotto, for more information about music.
